The guide specifies important information on the collection and use of donations (hereinafter “donations”) for the purpose of promoting peace activities and related endeavors as well as support projects conducted by the Hiroshima Peace Creation Fund (hereinafter “the Fund”), a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation.
Donations are considered general donations as defined under Article 2-1-1 of the Donation Handling Rules (hereinafter “the Rules”) for the Fund. Donations shall be solicited from individuals and corporations (hereinafter “peace supporters”).
The solicitation of donations shall be conducted not only in Japan but also overseas. The Fund shall accept contributions from peace supporters who support the intention of the Fund.
At least 50% of the total amount of donations shall be used for the public interest projects defined under Article 4 of the articles of incorporation.
There is no specified amount for donations.
Bank transfer, Using a Credit Card and direct cash contributions shall constitute the donations.
The Fund is unable to accept donations which shall or could correspond to any of the following cases:
2DIf any such cases are revealed after a donation is accepted by the Fund, the Fund must return the money in question to the donor without delay.
Once the acceptance of a donation has been confirmed, a receipt shall be delivered to the peace supporter upon request. Receipts can be delivered through print or electronic media.
In accordance with the Rules, information on donations and related matters stipulated by Article 22-5-1 of the enforcement regulations of the Law on Authorization of Public Interest Incorporated Associations and Public Interest Incorporated Foundations shall be kept in the office and made accessible to the public.
2DUpon obtaining the permission of an individual donor or a corporate donor, the name of the donor can be disclosed.
Necessary measures regarding the maintenance and operation of this system of donations, beyond the items specified in this guide, shall be determined by the chairperson.
Revision and repeal of the guide shall be the decision of the chairperson.
This guide shall take effect on January 1, 2014.
